Rain water storage for home consumption 

This is an underground rainwater storage tank. It has capacity of 15000 litres. It is built of brick and cement in a dome shape structured. Water can be pumped up through a motor or mini hand pump.

Khambati Kuva 

Popular in Gujarat, it's a traditional well with honey comb brickwork reinforced with regular RCC rings. The water percolates to sand strata and filter downs at lower levels recharging the water table. One Khambati well has capacity of percolating 40,000 litre of water in 1 hour.
